What the Home key does
Home moves the cursor to the start of the current line, or scrolls to the top of a page or list. Ctrl+Home jumps to the very beginning of a document. Shift+Home selects back to the line start.
On a Mac
Fn+Left arrow acts as Home. In text, Command+Left arrow goes to the start of the line and Command+Up arrow to the start of the document.
On a laptop
Look for "Home" printed on the left arrow or an F-key and press it with Fn.

If the Home key is missing or not working
If Home does nothing on a laptop you are probably missing the Fn key. Test the key below; it reports as Home whether pressed directly or via Fn.
