About Turkish letters

Turkish has two i letters: dotted i/İ and dotless ı/I. They are different letters, so uppercase i is İ, not I.

The Turkish Q layout keeps QWERTY and adds ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü on the right; the Turkish F layout is a different arrangement designed for Turkish.

On a Mac, Option+U then the vowel gives ö and ü; ğ, ş and ı need the Turkish layout or press-and-hold.

How to switch your keyboard to Turkish

Windows

Open Settings → Time & Language → Language & region, add Turkish (or open the options for your language and add the Turkish Q keyboard). Switch layouts with Win+Space. The current layout is shown next to the clock.

Mac

Open System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources → Edit, click +, and add Turkish or Turkish QWERTY. Switch with Control+Space or from the input menu in the menu bar. Turn on Show Input menu in menu bar to see which layout is active.

iPhone and iPad

Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose Turkish. Switch by holding the globe key on the keyboard.

Android

In Gboard, open Settings → Languages → Add keyboard and choose Turkish. Switch by holding the space bar or tapping the globe key.
